OneWater Brands Captivates ICAST 2025 with Project SeaSafe

A Show‑Stopping Entrance

Star brite’s Project SeaSafe, alongside OneWater Brands, stole the show at ICAST 2025 with a towering, high-energy booth that was a centerpiece of the convention. At its core was the debut of TH‑Marine’s Atlas Edge jackplate, a high-performance innovation that had the marine world buzzing.

But beyond the products, the booth was alive with purpose, community, and nonstop engagement.

A Staple of the Industry: Star brite and Star Tron

As longtime leaders in marine care, Star brite and Star Tron brought more than innovation—they brought intention. With the launch of Hex-Jack and the Marine Foam Deck + Pad Cleaner, our brands reaffirmed their commitment to reliable performance and environmental responsibility.

Reflecting on the show, Star brite President Erik Applegate shared:

“ICAST is always big for us, but this year it was something special. I am so proud of the passion our team brings day in and day out and that carries over to shows like ICAST. Star brite and Star Tron have long been staples in the industry, and what really made this show stand out was how Project SeaSafe and the live painting brought new energy and awareness—not just to our conservation work, but to everything we’re doing as a company. It brought a wave of positivity and traffic that shined a spotlight on our products, our team, and our mission.”

Project SeaSafe in Action

At the heart of the experience was real conservation in action. Cory Redwine, Conservation Director for Project SeaSafe, led a passionate team including Captain Alex Gorichky, Dr. Todd Osborne, and Norman Kolch. Together, they energized the crowd and embodied the “we” behind OneWater Brands.

  • A vibrant live tank display featuring mangroves, clams, shrimp, and native species brought our restoration work to life.

  • Ongoing momentum around the Preservation Challenge, rallying more brands to take part.

  • Hands-on education throughout the week on clam restoration, mangrove planting, and coastal cleanups—all led by respected scientists, captains, and environmental partners.

Visitors were drawn in by purpose—and left inspired by impact.

Canvas to Conservation: Painting With Purpose

The live painting installation was a showstopper. Derek Redwine, Dennis Friel, and Jessica Sweeney transformed a blank canvas into a stunning blue marlin using beach trash instead of traditional brushes. This symbolic artwork told a powerful story of pollution and preservation. Industry leaders and visitors lined up to contribute, and the buzz on social media kept traffic flowing all week.

The finished piece will soon be auctioned to benefit conservation groups, with prints made available to the public.

Looking Forward: Green Initiatives and Youth Engagement

ICAST 2025 showcased our “WE are OneWater” approach to sustainability and youth outreach. Under the guidance of Rubin Hanan and Cory Redwine, and building on Gregor Dornau’s legacy, OneWater Brands continues to set the pace in marine conservation—leading on everything from mangrove and clam restoration to inspiring the next generation of stewards. With each event, our momentum and impact grow, thanks to engaged partners and a deeply committed team.
